Instructions For This Pattern:
Cut seven Teal, seven Purple, and seven Black batik fabrics into 7″ squares.
Sew together the Teal and Purple squares into Log Cabin blocks, alternating the colors. Begin by laying out the 7 Teal and 7 Purple squares in a 7 x 7 grid. Make sure the colors are alternating. Take the top left square and sew it to the square to its immediate right. Continue in this manner, sewing each square to the one to its right until you have a complete row. Take the bottom left square and sew it to the square to its immediate right. Continue in this manner, sewing each square to the one to its right until you have a second complete row. Sew the two rows together, making sure the colors are alternating. Repeat this process for the remaining 5 rows until you have 7 Log Cabin blocks.
