Instructions For This Pattern:

Half-Square Triangle Pattern

For the first row, we will use a half-square triangle pattern with the colors red, green and blue. Begin by cutting 6 squares of each color, measuring 6”x6”. Take two of the same color squares and lay them right sides together. Draw a line diagonally across the squares. Sew a ¼” seam on either side of the line. Cut along the drawn line and press the seam open. Trim the corners and press the block. Repeat for all the remaining squares.

Square-in-a-Square Pattern

For the second row, use a square-in-a-square pattern with the colors blue, red and green. Begin by cutting 6 squares of each color, measuring 6”x6”. Take two of the same color squares and lay them right sides together. Draw a line diagonally across the squares. Sew a ¼” seam on either side of the line. Cut along the drawn line and press the seam open. Trim the corners and press the block. Repeat for all the remaining squares. Next, cut four 4”x4” squares from the same color fabric. Place the 4
