Instructions For This Pattern:

Create a large twin size quilt using quilting cotton in yellow, lavender, green, white, and black. Begin by creating 8 blocks measuring 8″ x 8″ for the center of the quilt. From the fabric, cut 4 yellow and 4 lavender squares of 8″ x 8″. Place the squares alternately in a checkerboard pattern. Trim the edges of the blocks with black fabric. Create the flower blocks using a 5″ x 5″ square of the fabrics and trimming the edges with black fabric. Alternate the colors in a checkerboard pattern and sew them together to make 4 blocks. Sew the 8 center blocks and the 4 flower blocks together in a symmetrical pattern and add a 4″ border of green fabric to the edges. Add an additional 2″ border of white fabric to the edges. Sew in black fabric to the corners of the quilt to finish the design. The quilt will measure a total of 64″ x 84”.
