Instructions For This Pattern:
Make a quilt of 1.5m x 1.5m using Batik fabric and block colors of Red, Purple, and Gold. The quilt will measure 1.5m x 1.5m when complete. The quilt blocks will measure 20cm x 20cm.
Design:
The quilt will be symmetrically organized with alternating blocks of each color. The blocks are to be a mixture of ideas, such as Red and Purple patchwork, a Gold and Purple pinwheel, and so on.
Instructions:
1. Cut the batting (1.5m x 1.5m) and the back fabric (1.5m x 1.5m).
2. Cut the Batik fabric into rectangles of 20cm x 20cm for the quilt blocks.
3. Choose the blocks to use for the quilt.
4. Sew the blocks together in a symmetrical pattern, alternating the colors.
5. Layer the blocks with the batting and back fabric. Pin the layers together.
6. Quilt the layers together, either by hand or with a sewing machine.
7. Bind the edges of the quilt.
