Instructions For This Pattern:
This quilt pattern is designed to create a 36”x48” baby quilt, featuring a classic churn dash block design. This pattern requires a 1/4” seam allowance and the following materials:
– 2 yards of blue fabric for the blocks and borders
– 2 yards of yellow fabric for the blocks and binding
– 1/4 yard of blue fabric for the inner border
– 1/4 yard of yellow fabric for the outer border
For the blocks:
– Cut 8 strips of blue fabric that measure 3”x6”.
– Cut 8 strips of yellow fabric that measure 3”x6”.
– Cut 8 squares of blue fabric that measure 3”x3”.
To assemble each block:
– Place one 3”x6” strip of blue fabric on top of a 3”x6” strip of yellow fabric, right sides together.
– Sew along one long side with a 1/4” seam allowance.
– Press the seam open.
– Place the 3”x3” square of blue fabric in the center of the strip set, right sides together.
