Materials:

-25 5” squares of each color: blue, red, yellow, black and white

Layout:

-5×5 grid

Instructions:

1) Cut twenty-five 5” squares of each color.

2) Make fifteen flying geese blocks. To do this, pair one blue, one red and one white square together. Sew the three pieces together along the diagonal. Press the seam open.

3) Sew together four blue, four red, four yellow, four black and nine white squares in a 5×5 grid.

4) Arrange the geese blocks in the center of the grid, alternating their colors.

5) Arrange the remaining squares in a diagonal pattern to form a Bauhaus quilt. Start with a white corner, then alternate the colors in the following order: blue-red-yellow-black.

6) Sew the squares together to complete the quilt.

7) Trim the edges to create a neat, even border.
