Instructions For This Pattern:

This quilt pattern is perfect for a lap-size quilt. To get started, you’ll need to cut (6) 10″ x 10″ fabric squares in white, blue and gold. Cut (8) 5″ x 10″ fabric rectangles in white, blue and gold. Cut (8) 2.5″ x 10″ fabric rectangles in white, blue and gold.

Once you have all of the fabric pieces cut, it’s time to assemble the quilt blocks. To do this, sew the fabric squares, rectangles and triangles together to form eight 5″ x 10″ blocks. Arrange the blocks alternately in four rows of four blocks each with the same color pattern. Sew the blocks together in four rows. Sew the four rows together to form a lap-size quilt.

Now it’s time to quilt the quilt top. Use white thread to quilt the quilt top in a diamond pattern. This will give the quilt an interesting geometric shape. Sew a 2″ border of white fabric around the quilt top. To give the quilt a bit more depth and texture, add a 5″ border of blue fabric to the quilt top. Next, add a 6″
