Instructions For This Pattern:

Create a quilt pattern using batiks in the colors red, gold, and white. Begin by cutting four 8.5” x 8.5” squares of each color. Sew the four red squares together, creating a 4 x 4 square. Follow the same steps for the four gold squares and the four white squares.

Next, assemble the three sets of squares into a 4 x 3 block formation. Place the red and gold squares in alternating rows, and the white squares in the third row. Sew the three blocks together, alternating red and gold blocks.

Sew the four 8.5” x 8.5” strips of white fabric together end to end. Cut the resulting white strip into four 8.5” x 24.5” strips. Sew the white strips to the top and bottom of the block formation, then to the left and right sides of the block formation.

Repeat these steps to create the back of the quilt. Quilt the front and back together using a batting of your choice. Finish the quilt with a binding of your choice.
