A Forest Quilt Pattern

Instructions For This Pattern:

Create a throw size quilt using 10″x10″ batiks in shades of green.

The quilt will have 12 blocks total, 6 blocks across and 6 blocks down.

To create each block, use a strip piecing technique to piece together two strips of fabric in complementary color composition. The measurements of the strips will be 2″x10″ and 4″x10″ respectively.

Alternate the direction of the strips in each block to create an overall pleasing pattern.

Sew the blocks together to complete the quilt.

For the quilt top, the finished measurement will be 60″x60″ (6 blocks x 10″ = 60″).

For the quilt back, cut two fabric pieces 60″x60″.

For the batting, cut one piece 64″x64″.

For the quilt binding, cut 8 strips 2.5″xWOF (width of fabric).
