Instructions For This Pattern:

Create a Landscape Autumn quilt with four fabrics: orange, yellow, brown, and red.

Materials:

• 4 fabrics: orange, yellow, brown, and red (1/2 yard of each)
• 80″ x 90″ batting
• Thread
• Rotary cutter
• Ruler
• Sewing machine

Instructions:

1. Cut the four fabrics into 6″ x 6″ squares. You should have 24 squares of each fabric.

2. Arrange the squares in a checkerboard pattern with two orange, two yellow, two brown, and two red in each row. Make sure the checkerboard pattern is consistent throughout the quilt.

3. Sew the squares together in each row. Make sure to backstitch at the beginning and end of each seam.

4. Join the rows together. Make sure the seams line up correctly and match the checkerboard pattern.

5. Place the batting on the floor. Place the quilt top over the batting. Pin the quilt top to the batting.

6. Quilt the top of the quilt with a simple diamond pattern. Start at the center and work outward in a clock
