Instructions For This Pattern:

Pattern Name: Colorful Checkerboard King Quilt

Materials Needed:

• Light blue fabric: 8 yards
• Pink fabric: 8 yards
• Thread
• Rotary Cutters
• Ruler
• Cutting Mat
• Sewing machine

Instructions:

1. Cut light blue fabric into 12″x12″ blocks, 8 yards will make 64 blocks.

2. Cut pink fabric into 12″x12″ blocks, 8 yards will make 64 blocks.

3. Arrange the blocks into a checkerboard pattern, alternating light blue and pink blocks.

4. Pin each block together, creating 64 “sandwiches.”

5. Using a ¼” seam allowance, sew each block together.

6. Press the seams open.

7. To assemble the quilt top, arrange the blocks in 8 rows of 8 blocks each.

8. Pin the blocks together and sew the rows together, using a ¼” seam allowance.

9. Press the seams open.

10. To finish the quilt top, measure and cut a 4″ border from the light blue fabric.
