Instructions For This Pattern:

This quilt pattern is a throw quilt made with Batiks fabric in the colors of purple, blue, white, and aqua. The quilt will measure 50″ x 60″ when completed.

For the quilt blocks, a simple beginners pattern will be used. The blocks will measure 3.5″ x 3.5″ and will begin with a purple square, followed by a blue square, then a white square, and so on, in an alternating pattern of each of the four colors. The quilt blocks will be framed by a 0.5″ aqua border.

To make the quilt top, begin by cutting out twelve 3.5″ x 3.5″ squares in each of the four colors. Sew the squares together in a repeating pattern, with the purple square followed by the blue, then the white, and so on. Press the seams and add the 0.5″ aqua border to each of the blocks.

Next, sew the blocks together in rows, with the purple and blue blocks alternating with the white and aqua blocks. Press the seams and add the 3″ purple border to the quilt top.
