Instructions For This Pattern:
This quilt pattern is comprised of 8 Batik fabric blocks, each measuring 8″ x 10″. The blocks will form a symmetrical pattern with 4 columns and 4 rows. The center of each block has a larger flower/teeth pattern, while the four corners will have smaller flowers/teeth. All the blocks will have a white background with the purple flower/teeth pattern.
The quilt will have a white border of 1″ and a purple border of 2″ around the blocks. The quilt when finished will measure 50″ x 50″.
To begin this quilt pattern, start by cutting 4 each of the 8″ x 10″ Batik fabric blocks. Place the 4 blocks on the table in a symmetrical pattern as shown in the illustration. Make sure to line up the edges of the blocks to form a straight line.
Next, sew each row together with a quarter inch seam allowance. Once all 4 rows are sewn together, sew the rows together with a quarter inch seam allowance. Now you have the quilt top.
Press the quilt top to ensure the seams are flat and even.
