Winter Quilt Pattern by Diane Vaughn

A Winter Quilt Pattern

Instructions For This Pattern:

This quilt pattern requires six 6″x4″ white batiks and six 6″x4″ blue batiks. Begin by sewing the white and blue together in an alternating pattern. Measure 2″ from the top and bottom for each block. Then sew the top and bottom 2″x4″ strips together. Measure 2″ from the left and right side for each block. Sew the left and right 2″x6″ strips together. Repeat the same alternating pattern with the remaining blocks.

The finished quilt top should measure 48″x36″ when all the blocks are sewn together. To sew the blocks together, align them in an alternating pattern, ensuring the blocks are symmetrical. Sew the blocks together and press with an iron. Repeat the same process for the remaining blocks.

Once all the blocks are sewn together, add the border. Measure the width and length of the quilt top and cut the border fabric accordingly. Sew the border fabric to the quilt top, making sure the fabric is centered and even. Sew the border to the quilt top, making sure to back-stitch at the start and end of each seam.

The finished quilt top should measure 60″x48
